There was this exciting moon bounce, and another moon bounce thing for the kids, and lots of food, and official 60th Anniversary cupcakes with the RAND logo on them, and a sundae bar. Oh, and the RAND singers, a chorus of Paul's co-workers, which were extremely... memorable. We had to hurry through the festivities, because we then drove to Oxnard to meet up with our ex-Chicago now Santa Barbara friends at the Strawberry Festival. We love Jeanne and Colin and Warren, and were excited to spend time with them. The kids rode rides and we ate lots of food, and just got to hang, which was nice. Really nice.
Before we left for home, we went to the park. That was actually more fun to the girls than being at the Strawberry Fest.
On the way home on the Pacific Coast Highway, we stopped at the beach and played and got all dirty and threw rocks and found pink seaweed. But I don't have any pictures of those things.
Then we sat in traffic- a magical end to a truly wonderful day.
